Linux Support Engineer

We are looking for a Linux Support Engineer with a minimum experience of 3-4 years in the Enterprise Linux Server, Storage, Virtualization and Backup Systems. The job role would be to support and manage our overseas client’s IT infrastructure remotely from offshore support center in Kochi, India.

Work days: 5 days a week. 

Work Location : Kochi, Kerala.

Qualification

  • Graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • Professional Certifications on Server and Storage Administration - Preferred
  • RedHat Certification – Mandatory
  • VMware (VCP), Any Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure) – Preferred
  • Any Data Storage Certification - Preferred

 

Skills

Technical Skills

  • Expert on Linux Platform including System Administration, OS hardening, clustering etc.
  • Expert on LVM, YUM, RPM package management, User & Group Management, shell scripting.
  • Good Knowledge on Redhat Openshift, Ansible, Satellite, Insights etc.
  • Hands on experience in Storage Administration(NAS/SAN).
  • Good knowledge and experience in any Virtualization platform like VMware, Hyper-V, KVM etc.
  • Good knowledge in Backup & DR Solutions.
  • Basic knowledge in Windows Administration .
  • Good presentation skills
  • Teamwork, coordination and communication skills.
  • Dynamic, motivated and flexible personality who can work proactively and in a team.
